Description
The Boston Sphere centre table is perfect in every respect. The form, the materials, the perfect circle that ties everything together. All of it is absolutely flawless. All of this leads to one of the most luxuriously stunning pieces of modern furniture design on offer. The design is based on that of a pearl, in both form and colour. The structure is dominated by the table top itself. It makes up about 80% of the whole design, stretching out in every direction before draping itself over the edge of the table almost reaching the ground. The top is coated in a fine pearl veneer with hammered indents and it sits elevated, almost floating above its white base. The final touch and the only deviation from the otherwise flat colour scheme is a hand crafted brass branch that stretches out around the circumference of the table, wrapping it in a warm embrace before meeting and tangling with itself again. An extravagant flair in a design which is otherwise focused on the beauty of subtlety. The glowing branch ties the whole piece together and casts the underside of the table in a warm golden glow. The only break in the flawless table top is one thin line that runs down the centre. It’s not just there to break the form, it plays a crucial roll as this table can boast practicality as well as endless beauty. The table parts sideways a this line, breaking into two semi circles and revealing the real jewel of the piece; a glowing brass heart complete with glass and bottle holders. A piece of furniture that truly never stops giving.
