Description
When visiting the ancient town of Borba in Portugal if you look closely as you walk through the town, you will see a predominance of marble on the frames of the doors and windows, chimney pots, street signs and monuments. This fact is explained by the existence of several quarries in the region producing marble of the very highest quality. The Bonza rug was designed as a moving homage to the colours and the natural textures of the marble found in this region, whilst inviting this sense of organic glamour into your living space.
The surfaces of this rug are reminiscent of a landscape in themselves. The earthly beige and brown hues of this rug make it a versatile addition to any bright and natural living space, as well as giving it a sense of organic authenticity that adds warmth to a living space. Hand-tufted from an ultra-thin viscose, extremely soft, almost silk-like bamboo this piece is as appealing and naturally authentic to the touch as it immediately was to the eyes.
