Description
Sometimes it’s important that we go a little further, in search of something new. It’s essential to the progression and improvement of how we live, play and relax that at times design decisions are made with nothing more than beauty in mind. But it’s important to mark that this ideal isn’t antithetical to practicality or functionality, in fact when we give our ideas the requisite space to flourish, they can play any number of roles. The Sabbath Chaise Longue is simply beautiful. The perfect combination of geometrical experimentation and luxurious comfort the piece is set on four slender, short and simple legs which work their way upwards until they congregate to form a large rectangular brass podium. Atop the podium is yet another large flat panel this time cut to the material of the Chaise Longue’s body. Finally we reach the seat, which sits on its many layers of footing with its pinned padded form that invites you in. A large geometrical mass rises up high behind the seat rising and falling as it traverses the length off the chaise longue. The majority of this backing is padded save the margin which is dotted with a row of brass pins. An arching arm protrudes from this and works its way down towards the base.
