We sit down to take a moment, but we recline to relax. Relaxation is synonymous with luxury, and in the Clarine chaise longue, we find a perfect marriage of the two. The form is extravagant to say the least with an oversized silhouette created by the back panel. The Chaise longue is set low to the ground and the classic curves harken back to a bygone era of decadence and leisure. The seat is long and wide, with a deep padded space that invites you to fall down into it. The spacious seat area is thick and banded by a belt of glowing brass. The legs are short, stout and cast with a candlestick like tip again keeping in line with the classical styling of this luxury piece. The backrest of the Chaise longue is the real centrepiece here. A large half shell of the finest padded fabric that wraps its way around the back and a good way down either side. The backrest dominates the silhouette and neglects to give way to feet instead choosing to create its own base. A large beautifully set embossed pattern is worked into the back rest and as if comfort wasn’t already offered in spades, four fluffy pillow are thrown in to sweeten the deal.
