Description
One can’t look at the Malachi chair and not think of the natural beauty and mystique of a forest. It speaks to our heritage as a species, it speaks to our present as a species—forests will never not amaze and benefit us, whether its using their wood to better our lives, or spending time amongst the trees and all the natural wonders on offer. The natural world and the world of manufacturing and human creativity mesh into one with the Malachi chair.
Truly a stunning and unique piece, with its low back and subtle curvature, its elevation and use of space between the wood, all supported by that square at its base—utilising ever so slightly bevelled wood to offset the sharpness of the right angles we see here a master stroke of building technique. So versatile is the Malachi chair that it could be placed in rooms of the most diverse colour pallets and still work, still bring something special to the room. This in itself is impressive, almost as if it were a sculpture and not something to be sat upon, but why can’t it be both? Why must something beautiful not be functional? Well, ask no more and live out this melding of worlds and ideas with the Malachi chair.
