Description
The ocean has persistently fascinated the mind of the curious, the traveller and the thinker. Whether this is through its majesty, the sensation of floating or its alluring unpredictability it is amongst the most influential of natural forms. The Acadian dining chair recognises the importance of the oceans freewheeling nature and seeks to embody this presence where it matters most – your homes entertaining space, where imaginations deserve to run wild.
The aquatic influence is immediately evoked through the perfectly executed shell-like design of its feature backrest. Wonderfully upholstered through a series of curved gestures in a sensuous blue cotton velvet, this feature is every part as inspiring as it is soothing to the eyes and to the touch. Held aloft by four strong and subtly tapered legs in a matte finish dengue wood this piece refuses to sacrifice its sturdy and assured stature in its embodiment of the unruly oceans. The stainless steel footrest then pays homage to the barstool as we imagine it, whilst offering itself as a shining and luxurious addition to an already astoundingly glamorous piece of dining room furniture. Perfectly balancing the worlds of modern design with the splendour of the seas, this is a wonderful addition to any space built for entertainment.
