Description
Is there any greater image of childhood than the treehouse? A space encapsulating safety and adventure up amongst the branches, the leaves and the open sky. With this piece that space doesn’t need to exist in our imaginations, in forests or in gardens, but in your child’s room where imagination belongs. Treehouses often come with a level of amateur workmanship, of cobbled-together structures and of the sky at night – but not here. With the Tree Bed the order-of-the-day is adventure, comfort and no short-supply of luxury.
It would seem at odds to not discuss the luxurious wood at play in the structure of this piece, taking its majestic solid Oak wood and lacquered wood as the basis for why it stands out. The pastel-blue finish directly gestures towards the open sky on a summer’s day, making this is a bright and warm addition to any child’s bedroom. The house-shaped central structure emphasises the sense of security and cosiness one may feel amongst the trees, whilst the sleekly finished rope ladder, polished-brass edging and slide combines grandeur with a sense of adventure. At every turn this piece illuminates the comfort of being above it all, up there in your own world.
