Description
Zion is a rare gemstone known primarily for its incredible strength and its radiant and varied orange-red surfaces.  Starting with the silhouette of this piece the viewer is treated to a series of delights that are down to the pieces boldness, and some that are poignant in their subtlety. From the front the piece is formed of a strong and solid rectangular Wengue wood base, which is delicately topped with a sensuous, curved Onix marble table top. However, as we approach the piece from the side it is soon revealed that there is a gap between two delicately balanced panels that form the legs, one of which is formed from a luxurious brushed brass. This same brushed brass adorns and cradles the table top marble to emphasise the elegance of this piece, whilst creating a surface for the light and our eyes to feast upon.
