Description
The Wisdom Sideboard is without a doubt one of the most exciting, innovative piece of furniture designs you are ever going to see. And for all of its detailed, over stylised, and unashamedly modern charms, it somehow grips tightly to a real sense of sophistication and a unique beauty. It’s simply captivating. The sideboard has an imposing presence. It’s a large horizontal obelisk cut from a deep lacquered wood completed with a high gloss finish. The shape is boxy and brutal but the adornments that cover almost the entire face of the cupboard are the centre piece.
A geometric raised pattern cast in golden polished brass cuts a jigsaw soundwave across the entire face of the sideboard. Another thin set of golden bands run within the larger soundwave. But the geometric angular pattern, through its size and shape, somehow creates a very pleasant wavelike effect. These shapes cascade down the length of the cupboard catching and recasting shards of light as they go. As if this wasn’t enough, its size also makes it a thoroughly practical addition to any space. It will dominate a hallway. It will dominate a room, but that’s exactly what it’s intended to do.
