Description
One of the miraculous achievements of modern interior design is its undying ability to fuse function with beauty and to challenge our very questions of structure and aesthetics in the process. A piece that fully embodies the magnitude of such an achievement, the Vonteli sofa is an all-encompassing piece of furniture that offers as much as the heart could desire both in terms of its modular versatility and its sensual sophistication – a truly one-of-a-kind masterwork of furniture.
This sofa is more than just a sofa for a start. Featuring a chaise tongue, a side table, a book storage compartment and a vast seating area, it provides a brilliant and beautiful heart for the centre of any modern living space. The form of this piece is as much a miracle of materials as it is of geometry as bold lines interact with textural contrasts freely, but at all times with a great sense of balance. The soft, velvet upholstery of the majority of the piece differs from the Rosa Levanto marble of its features in material terms, yet the combination of the two evokes a unified sense of mid-century elegance. The gold polished stainless steel detailing of the features and the base of the piece then offer glowing finishing touches around the piece, small oases of luxury for the eyes to feast upon.
