Description
The glamour of night-time entertainment really is the hallmark of luxury. The drinks cabinet is the symbol of elegance when we think back through the ages, specifically the middle of the twentieth century. The Vinay bar cabinet is all too aware of the symbolic significance of such a piece and revels in creating a structure that is as magical as we are capable of imagining. Taking a recognisable yet bold form, the designers of this piece delight in the pleasure of materials to brilliant effect.
The outer frame of the central structure of the piece is delicately constructed from semi-gloss lacquer, that provides a glowing and subtle outer frame to the piece. It is within this frame that the magical fabric rush covering of the majority of the structure paints its textures and colours upon the surface of the piece in a brilliantly expressive manner. A gently moulded metal handle adorns the front of the piece to allow for the doors to open without distracting from the artistic continuity of the exterior. Upon opening the doors, the interior of which are finished with mirrors and lacquered profiles, the viewer is revealed to a backlit fabric structure and a series of drawers finished in leather. The piece is then rounded off with bold, minimal legs that form in strong lines of bronze or chrome-plated metal.
