Description
Balance doesn’t have to equal symmetry. We do not question the often imperfect balance of the natural world, where perfect symmetry is a rare occurrence and is often the result of chance rather than purposeful design. The Stefan table is a prime example of the balance achieved through rigorous design and careful meditation on shapes and materials. A perfectly light yet moving addition to any living space, it is a spectacle unto itself.
Cut from a wonderfully thick glass, the piece is entirely made up of the transparent and light material that compliments any modern living space, whilst emphasising any decorations or furnishings you may have. Using new innovations in technology and the developments of contemporary design, the piece is gently formed of interlocking glass sections that are left resting in the balance. This draws our line of vision as it is off-kilter and seemingly defying the laws of physics, whilst creating an undoubtable balanced and soothing whole. Gesturing towards the tenets of stark modernism whilst not sacrificing this soothing and non-dominant presence is where this pieces power truly lies, it feels totally confident in its own elements and lets its craft do the talking.
