We should take our cues from the Reddich armchair, which seems to be slowly but surely reclining further into itself all the time. Slumped back and onto its haunches, the Reddich invites you onto its expansive luxurious seat, pairing the timeless sophistication of its slender and deliberate lines, with the modern flourishes of glowing brass and taut leather. Each panel bulges slightly due to the thick luxurious padding below, hidden beneath the face of an armchair that wants you to think it’s far more serious than it actually is. A tall deep back arches down and stretches out to meet the arms providing the majority of the curvy silhouette.
The back of the armchair wraps around the sides cocooning the seat area. Everything is wrapped tightly in the same material until we get to the base of the seat section where a thin vein of glowing brass piping traverse the waistline of the chair in one perfect unbroken line. The stout, modern legs are made of solid oak and jut out of the bottom splaying out a little as if under the weight of the armchair. This unashamedly modern touch brings the Reddich armchair into the 21 st century and cements it as a staple piece in an eclectic variety of interior design approaches.
