Description
There aren’t many natural materials more extravagant than the Ebony wood that originates from the Makassar region of Indonesia. Much revered for its depth of colour and material density, the material has been used to sleek and modern interior design in the most luxurious circles due to its surface magnificence. The Mabrick folding screen is a warm and singular addition to any modern living space that is classical in its as many senses as it is expertly modern.
By coupling up a delightful contrast of materials, this piece is every bit as playful as it is glamorous. Naturally evocative in its bold presence, the matte finished Ebony wood is comforting in its smooth surface and alluring in its continuous depth of grain. Counter posed with differing curves feature panels, the piece then takes on a rhythmic and varied form that delights through contrast. The cotton velvet of the Beige, Dove and Taupe sections is muted in its colour palette and a soothing delight for the eyes with its sensuous surfaces. Delicately held together with painted metal tubes, the devil is in the details with this piece as these small structural elements even embody an ambience of serene luxury.
