There is no better place to start with this piece than with the materials, of which minimalist design has always placed an emphasis on. The smoked finish of the glass that makes up the majority of the piece plays with the idea of transparency, creating an alluring and seductive surface within a room. The colouration of the glass affirms the shape of the piece, whilst the finish of the glass allows any available light in the room to dance upon its surfaces. The extending leaves are expertly manufactured so as to create an intentional geometric form when not in use and a practical addition to the piece once extended. The solid and sleek legs, available in a range of materials, then round off the piece in a subtle, assured fashion.
