Description
Taking its inspiration from the famous and traditional tiles that adorn the streets of Porto or Lisbon, the Hesketh bathtub stands as a miraculously unique piece of interior design and a touching tribute to a long history of design excellence. A remarkable piece that is sure to stand out in any elegant bathroom, it is bound to bring your space to life.
The materiality of the actual bathtub is formed of a black or white lacquered cast iron that is as sleek as it is shiny at the heart of this piece, standing as an embodiment of cleanliness and sturdiness. This is then set in a high gloss fibreglass that sits atop the feature base of the piece. Formed into a cuboid structure, the main structure of the base of the piece is constructed from an array of traditionally hand-painted tiles that depicts a classical scene. Tearing through the centre of this picture, however, in truly modernist fashion is a large crack crafted out of a delightfully luxurious painted gold vista that energises and surprises the eyes at the centre of the piece. Featuring floor drainage, this truly is a remarkable piece for any elegant bathroom.
