Description
If the phrase all the bells and whistles has any place in the vocabulary of the modern interior designer, the Bradley armchair is the reason for that legitimisation. This is an armchair where every panel and every angle is taken advantage of. Everything is taken as an opportunity to provide something original and extravagant, all of which is set into what in reality is a distinctly classic frame. Let’s begin with the backrest of the armchair, which sits low and deep, traversing the curvature of the seat, and with two short armrests that slope down from the back before burying themselves in the seat.
And we don’t blame them. This is a seat that anyone would want to sink into. The seat is made from double layered padding, overstuffed and wrapped tight in a luxurious fabric of your choosing. Beneath the seat is a stylistic modern piece of metalwork featuring angled slats that connect the tops of the chair legs to the underside of the seat. The legs are comparatively simple, which is necessary in a piece where everything else seems to go above and beyond the call of duty. The legs are slender, and slightly splayed out finishing with a dipped brass foot. The feature of this piece is the stitched patterning that runs vertically around the backrest split halfway by a thin band of aged brass.
