Let’s begin with the pieces form. A wonderfully sculpted spherical foot in plain veneer is deftly decorated with aged brass branches. Much like frail branches dancing upon the clouds, the beauty in this piece is quaintly refined but profoundly moving. At the base of the central foot, almost impossibly defying gravity rests an aged brass branch wrapping itself around the structure, a gentle reminder at the inspiration behind the piece and an eye-catching feature. But, as previously stated, nature doesn’t act without intention or reason. The bold tabletop rests upon this solid foundation with gentle, soft tones and wonderfully rounded edge work, in homage to nature’s ultimate beauty.
