Typically a mirror is not a feature piece. It’s functional piece of furniture. Something that is three to do a job other than just look pretty or stylish. But all too often the true offerings presented by functional furniture are over looked. Everything, even the most practical of items presents us with the opportunity to inject a degree of style into any space. I think it’s safe to say that that the Aurelia mirror has had more than its fair share of stylistic injections. While this mirror is perfectly capable of doing its job, namely, reflecting its subject, it offers so much more. It’s a piece of art. The piece is comprised of a selection of circular plates.
The Larger circles, of which there are four, are made of reflective glass, providing the partiality. The other smaller circles are made cast form metal which has bene coated in smoked, bronze, gold, pink and grey veneer. These circles are arranged so that they slightly overlap each other creating an atomic inspired structure. The structure can be positioned on a wall either horizontally or vertically bringing a sense of versatility to a piece that already boasts charming design, and undeniable beauty in its repertoire. Both versions of the mirror can be used vertically or horizontally.
