It is built into all of the decisions that inform the design this chair, from its influence, to its form and to the luscious materials that it offers.
Starting from its base, the piece exemplifies the satisfaction we gain from knowing we are in strong and sturdy hands. Formed of four expertly rounded wooden legs, this base pays homage to traditional furniture design and offers an assured foundation. Atop this base, the cushion seat and the interior of the backrest are upholstered in a delightful leather or fabric, which encases the seat and offers material softness in abundance. Then we are offered the comfort that is provided by being enclosed, as the backrest wraps around with its plissé leather exterior to form two armrests that frame the seat almost entirely. Adorning the exterior of this wonderful formal feature, a decorative belt of leather and metal offers a focal point around the centre of the piece.
