Description
Aquarelle is a style of French watercolour painting, known for finding beauty in soft transparency rather than stark opaque colours. The Allington table, then, is a place where creativity can abound in subtle design and muted colours. Shouting the loudest is not always the best way to be heard, this piece stands out in its understated uniqueness. This truly is a perfect addition to any artistic and creative child that finds joy in the art of painting.
The eye is immediately drawn to the central feature of this table. Representing an artist’s easel, the centrepiece inspires visions of standing at an empty canvas with a vista of colours at arm’s reach. But like a great painting, this piece is perfectly balanced with the bold colours of the centrepiece and the muted pastel palette of the main structure. As a classic watercolour often does, this piece adds an inspiring and calming presence to a child’s space. The wonderfully rounded and crafted table legs point towards design that is weighted towards luxury as well as creative exuberance. The dream of all budding young artists is to have a free space in which to express themselves, you may have just found it.
