Description
Whilst modern design has become famous for its cold and stark minimalism, its metallic structures and its muted presence, lets not forget that modernity also captures the works of the likes of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, champions of boldness and colour. The Acama stool, with this in mind, fits into this lineage of playful expressiveness and unabashed creativity. Through a delightful attention to form and a variety of different bold colours to choose from, the Acama stool is a perfect addition to any modern living space that requires a pop of colour and energy.
The silhouette of this piece gives off a sense of suspension and of springing into the room with its brilliantly crafted layering effect formed from lacquered wood. This layered effect, whilst offering a dynamic sense of upwards movement, also act to guide the eyes horizontally around the smooth and sensuous surfaces of the expertly finished wood. Available in a variety of different colours and sizes, this energetic piece of interior design can be customised to accommodate or to add to the colour scheme and balance of a room, acting as a gentle focal point or a splash of light in a living space.
