Description
The question is often asked as to what came first, the egg or the creature it hatches? Despite the multiple theories and thinking on this central question, there is no doubt that the egg is a delicate life-giving force and a nurturing presence within the natural world. It is of little surprise, then, that the Edgar dining table offers a sensuous and soothing centrepiece to any living space, formed primarily of smooth lines and materials that create a peaceful ambience.
Formed almost entirely of lacquered wood, the designers of this piece have been able to manufacture the wood into a delightful series of undulating and curved forms that gently excite the eyes as they travel across the piece. The use of lacquered wood also allows for the variation on the theme of the blue colour that occurs at the centre of the piece, giving off a gentle aquatic feel that makes the table a restful addition to your space. At its heart, formed into a central jewel is a curved structure treated with gold leaf that acts as a sleek and shining focal point at the pieces centre, radiating off any available light in your dining space.
