Whilst its namesake may be that of ancient origin, there is no doubt that the Spitz armchair is a modern piece of furniture. Starting at its stainless steel base, this piece is expertly poised on a rounded structure that holds it, almost floating, above the ground in a delicate defiance of gravity. The alluring, almost water-like, surface of the shadow pattern fabric then draws our eyes into its tactile softness as we delight over the sleek wraparound effect of the central structure of the chair.  Subtly offset from the fabric is the cotton velvet of the upholstering of the cushions, giving this piece a play of textures and delights for the eyes. The backrest is then treated to expert upholstering features of vertical geometric lines that lift this piece into the room and guide our eyes around its sumptuous surfaces.
